Carissa Harnarrine is a multidisciplinary artist based in South Florida. Her current body of work combines digital illustration and printmaking to explore themes of transformation, strength, sacrifice, and resurrection. Her practice examines moments of change and resilience through natural environmental and character design concepts. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Nova Southeastern University.
Influenced by personal experiences and the story-mode video games she grew up with, Carissa focuses on visual storytelling and world building. In her artwork, dark tonal palettes, high-contrast color schemes, and natural/color symbolism play a central role in guiding interpretation and emotional response.
Through digital illustration, painting, printmaking, and ceramics, she aims to create detailed, high-quality pieces that balance precision with expressive intensity. She is committed to continuously improving and expanding her skillset by learning new mediums and techniques so that her work can connect with others on a deeper level, using visual language as a means of reflection, meaning, and shared experience.
